Adult Hula
Alice Hibberd

Hula is a way of life in Hawaii, a celebration, a moving meditation, an expression of gratitude. Participants will experience hula as a dance of gratitude for nature, learning how basic hand and body movements express a tale of the Earth, Sea and Spirit. Classes are offered with cultural integrity, practicing Hawaiian chant or song, becoming aware of the sacred Huna principals and studying the kaona (spiritual meaning) of each hula.  Classes help to instill within students the true essence of the hula- a prayer for Mother Earth and her inhabitants.

Ecstatic Dance -

12-1 PM
with Katrina Norris

Ecstatic Dance is a safe and sacred space to be in authenticity through movement in community.  It is an amazing way to attune to your body and spirit. Make it a work out, a prayer, a creative expression, or a fusion of all. Come join the Dance Tribe!
The dance begins with a group guided embodied meditation, leading you into your own dance, and circling in gratitude for closing. The music is an eclectic mix of world beats and rhythms structured to create a wave that begins slow and flowing, builds to staccato and chaos, uplifting into lyrical, and ending in stillness.
A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Cost - $5 to $20 sliding scale  - flexibility is available

Waltz time with Mark, Brenna & Alice!

PLEASE:    Bring separate shoes to dance in that are clean and take off your street shoes in the hallway upon arrival. If possible, wear leather soled shoes that don't stick to the floor, closed-toe shoes recommended (because most men find them more sexy).
